God is described here as the God of hope, not only the giver of hope.

Waiting on God is not passive. It is a way of receiving strength.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Faith gives spiritual weight to hope when we cannot yet see the outcome.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.”
Jesus gives peace that is different from what the world gives.
